‍‍‍My luxurious home on six wheels.

I researched for a year and a half before buying Myrna, my RV. I knew what I wanted and I was not going to upgrade in a year or two, I was going to buy just what I wanted the first time.

There were two must haves: the bed could not be up against the wall as it would aggravate me every day of my life if I couldn’t make my bed and have my quilt hang nicely. Second, I would not be taking a shower on the toilet! Check, both of these were in Myrna.

I found Myrna in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Schaap’s RV Traveland. Lyle, the owner, was a gem, and his team really helped me feel comfortable and secure in my ability to live in my new RV.

Myrna is 25 feet long on a Mercedes-Benz six cylinder diesel chassis. She drives like a dream and turns on a dime. Exterior color is White Suede, height 10 ft 6 in and width 7 ft 10 in. Myrna fits into a standard parking spot width and takes up 1 2/3 spaces lengthwise; interior height is 6 ft 5 in.

The coach is made by Leisure Travel Vans in Winkler, Canada, and model is the Unity with an Island Bed. The solid wood cabinets in Sierra Maple with many curved cupboards show the quality workmanship and pride in the manufacturing of such a magnificent vehicle.

She has a killer Jensen sound system, two televisions, and skylights in the galley and in the shower! There are solar panels on the roof that keep the coach batteries charged and a 3.6 KW Onan LP generator for those off the grid camping opportunities.
