Nursing and RVing. Living my dream.
Hi! Marian here and I want to share with you my experiences and adventures as an RVing travel nurse. I am having the time of my life while continuing to work in the field that I love, bedside nursing. I want to tell you a little about myself and this new chapter in my life.
I love being a nurse. I love to be able to empower patients to achieve their best possible level of health. I love to teach family members how to safely care for their loved ones while, hopefully, enjoying the process, giving them the knowledge and tools to decrease stress and increase their confidence.
I love to share my joy of nursing with other nurses and that is why I teach online nursing leadership and management. What a blessing it is to be a nurse, for others to allow you into their lives at the most vulnerable times, to depend on your knowledge and caring to safely and effectively get them through this stage of their lives.
In May 2015 I was getting a little antsy, actually pretty darn restless. I had lost both of my parents with Dad dying at home with hospice in November 2011, and Mom in 2014, also with hospice, at home. Mom and Dad had moved to Arizona in 2003 to live with me. We had a ball, many really fun years, and fine adventures. I followed the rule, don’t change a thing for a year when a major loss occurs. When I found that a friend of mine was the senior RN Manager of our organizations’ travel department, I sent her an email. The ball was rolling and my travel nurse career began that July, with my first assignment in Fairbanks, Alaska!
